Wellbeing packs containing luxury toiletries and other items have been donated to a rape crisis centre – thanks to the Community Wish List.

Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre (LLRC), established 20 years ago, provides practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence from age 12 and older.

They appealed to the Wish List for a financial donation (or a gift card alternative) to help support the on-going needs of the centre.

Rhodar: Specialist Enabling Works answered the call by donating hand curated, wellbeing packs.

Sustainability and Social Value Coordinator for Rhodar, Elizabeth Cotton, said: "It was a pleasure to visit the LRCC to meet Jennifer and deliver the wellbeing packs for survivors.

“We had an insightful and informative conversation, during which Jennifer shared her knowledge and experiences, clearly highlighting the real need for this support and the importance of our donation. We are incredibly proud to support a charity doing such vital and impactful work."

A spokesperson for LRCC said: “We were happy to welcome representatives from Rhodar, who have kindly donated, hand curated, wellbeing packs for our survivors.

“With luxury items such as eye masks, moisturiser and hair accessories- these packs will support our wellbeing work with those most in need across Lanarkshire.

“We would like to make a special thanks to Lizzie for working so hard to put together these packs with care and consideration for all the women who will receive them.

“A further thanks to Ralph from the Glasgow office for joining and engaging in a real discussion about the issues LRCC face.”

The Community Wish List has now been replaced with a Community Benefits Hub, a new online service that connects community groups with businesses across the Glasgow City Region.
